About this Transcript

This is my attempt at transcribing as much of the game Enter the Matrix as possible. I wanted to write this transcript as a resource for people who haven't played it that would be interested in the game's events, because I believe that it was a very nice addition to the film, The Matrix Reloaded and does give some enlightenment about what else was going on. The only game transcripts I've seen were of individual scenes, so why not put them all together?

The transcript includes dialogue from both the FMV (full-motion video) sequences and from gameplay (because, hey, that's where 90% of the action happens!). It does, however NOT contain the "deleted scene(s?)" that can be accessed via the PC version (e.g.; an alternate ending to the Freeway chase where Neo saves Ghost and Niobe). I don't have a PC version of the game. If someone is willing to give me a nice transcript of it, I'll take that. :) Because the storyline is slightly different with each character (either Niobe or Ghost), there will be links provided so you can choose a perspective to see things from. There are also footnotes pointing out random observations and possible mistakes.

If anyone notes any errors and/or criticism, please email me so that I can double check and correct them. :)

Disclaimers: Obviously, I didn't write Enter the Matrix. The dialogue and directing were done by the wonderful Larry and Andy Wachowski. Enter the Matrix was developed by Shiny Entertainment and Infogames aka Atari. Full credits can be found on the Credits page.

The transcript is intended for teaching /educational purposes only. It falls under the U.S. Code 17/Sec. 107 - Limitations on exclusive rights: 'Fair Use'. Notwithstanding the provisions of sections 106 and 106A, the fair use of a copyrighted work, including such use by reproduction in copies or phonorecords or by any other means specified by that section, for purposes such as criticism, comment, news reporting, teaching (including multiple copies for classroom use), scholarship, or research, is not an infringement of copyright. (This was copied from the Reloaded Transcipt. ^^;;)

I did, however, spend a lot of hours putting this together, and if I see it archived somewhere else with someone else's name on it, I will not be amused. Please contact me if you want to archive this somewhere.

I - P.O. Box 731222

INT. The Logos' main deck, by the operator's station. Ghost, First Mate of the Logos, and Sparks, its Operator, are watching the Matrix code as it falls down their monitors.

SPARKS: Look at them. Like flies to cow pies, crawling over every drop we ever used.

GHOST: We don't have a lot of time.

SPARKS: A lot of time? (He laughs.) Wrong. We don't have a little time.

Ghost doesn't answer, still fixated on watching the code.

SPARKS: Look. I hate to be Mr. Naysay, but do you really think you have a chance in hell of getting at that thing before they find it?

GHOST: I don't know. But that won't stop her from trying.

SPARKS: Come on Ghost! It's crazy!

GHOST: Sparks, how long have you been operating on this ship?

SPARKS: Three years.

GHOST: Then you ought to know by now: when she makes up her mind, you have one choice: you go with her, or you get the hell out of her way.

INT. Logos cockpit, with its captain, Niobe, in the driver's seat, landing the hovercraft. She looks determined to do anything it takes to complete the mission. Ghost enters the cockpit and sits down in the chair next to Niobe's.

GHOST: We scouted the post office.

NIOBE: Is the drop still clean?

Hesitantly, Ghost nods.

GHOST: Niobe, this won't be easy.

NIOBE: Thadeus was my friend. I knew him. He never used a drop before. He didn't trust them. Whatever's in that box cost Thadeus his live and the lives of his crew, and I have a feeling that if we don't get to it first, it's going to cost us a whole lot more. So are you red or blue on this?

She looks at Ghost questioningly.

GHOST: You know me, Niobe. It's not a choice. It's a way of life.

INT. Logos main deck. Ghost and Niobe are sitting in loading chairs, ready to jack in. Sparks inserts the metal spikes into each of their heads, and then jumps into his operating chair, typing away furiously.

SPARKS: Because I know how valued my opinion is on this ship, I won't bother to tell you, but I think it's insane that you're not waiting for a support team. And for the record, when I cart your bodies back to Zion, do you prefer cremation or the gardens?

GHOST: Sparks, your faith in us remains a souce of personal inspiration.

SPARKS: Well, I am what I am and I do what I can.

NIOBE: Then can you shut up and hit the button?

SPARKS: Your wish, Captian my Captain, is my keystroke, colon, double backslash execute command.

He presses the Loading key (double diamond), and they jack in.

INT. The Construct, the loading program for the rebels. Niobe stands around waiting for them to enter the Matrix while Ghost double-checks his guns are in good order.

NIOBE: Why do you do that?

GHOST: Do what?

NIOBE: Check your guns.

GHOST: You never know.

NIOBE: It's a progam. They get loaded every time the exact same way.

GHOST: Hume teaches us that no matter how many times you drop a stone and it falls to the floor, you never know what'll happen the next time you drop it. It might fall to the floor, but then again it might float to the cieling. Past experience can never prove the future.

Niobe looks really bored while Ghost talks, as if she's heard the reasoning a thousand times.

NIOBE: So?

GHOST: So you never know.

NIOBE: Here we go.

First, a car begins to materialize from the wheels up - Niobe's black Pontiac Firebird. Then, the Matrix begins to draw closer and closer to the two rebels, eventually surrounding them with the setting of an abandoned building. Lastly, a table appears and a black phone drops on to it from nowhere, ringing instantly. Niobe picks it up.

NIOBE: We're in.

SPARKS (V.O.): You got ten minutes until the post office closes.

INT. Logos' operating station.

SPARKS: There's a ton of heat in the area, but the package is still untouched. The box number is...seven-three-one-two-two-two.

INT. Matrix - Abandoned Building.

NIOBE: Got it.

SPARKS (V.O.): And hey, can you ask Ghost, if he doesn't make it, can I have his boots?

Niobe hangs up without answering. She had Ghost climb into the Firebird (with Niobe in the driver's seat) and they speed off to the post office.

Follow Ghost - Follow Niobe

EXT. Matrix - City Streets. Niobe and Ghost drive up to the base of the post office, a small skyscraper with tons of windows. There are only minutes left until it closes.

GHOST: Your call. Inside or out?

NIOBE: I'll get the package.

GHOST: Keep in touch.

She takes the keys to the P.O. Box from Ghost, and climbs out of the car. Ghost slides into the driver's seat and pulls out.

INT. Post Office, lobby. Niobe's made it, but just as the building is closing for the day!

WOMAN ON INTERCOM: Thank you for visiting the Post Office. We are now closing. We are open 7 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Monday through Saturday. Please exit through the main doors in the central lobby.

Nonetheless, she continues to walk through the building, catching the attention of several employees.

EMPLOYEE: Excuse me m'am, we're closing.

When she continues to ignore the employee, a guard comes up to try and stop her.

GUARD: Looks like a troublemaker.

Of course, she beats them up, and then heads for the elevator to the second floor, where the P.O. Box room is. Naturally, when she presses the 'up' button, the elevator doesn't respond. Looking for some help, she takes out her cell phone and calls Sparks.

NIOBE: Sparks, the elevator's shut down.

INT. Logos Operating Station.

SPARKS: Yeah, I know. Okay, I've got a blueprint online. It's too bad because the elevator would've worked. Hold on...I'm looking for another way.

INT. Post Office Lobby.

SPARKS (V.O.): I've found a heavy mail elevator in the back corner of the main sorting room. It should still be operating.

NIOBE: Thanks.

After checking some of the other doors, all of which are locked, she backtracks to the men's washroom, and enters just in time to see a janitor climb up a ladder into an air duct. She climbs up and uses it to get into the next room, drops out, and continues to walk through what turns out to be the men's locker room. Two employees are talking just out of sight.

EMPLOYEE 1: Did you hear about the TCS reports?

EMPLOYEE 2: The new cover sheets?

EMPLOYEE 1: Oh, you got the memo.

EMPLOYEE 2: Did they fix the printer?

EMPLOYEE 1: I hear there is a problem with the toner.

EMPLOYEE 2: What do you think of a new guy?

EMPLOYEE 1: He's okay.

EMPLOYEE 2: Are you working the late shift tomorrow?

EMPLOYEE 1: I don't know.

Finally, Niobe steps into view, confusing the heck out of them.

EMPLOYEE 1: Uhh...this is the MEN's locker room.

When she ignores them, he calls for help.

EMPLOYEE 1: We need help in here!

And off she goes, leaving the locker room and winding up in some sort of lunchroom, where two more employees are talking.

EMPLOYEE 3: What did you get today?

EMPLOYEE 4: What's in yours?

EMPLOYEE 3: Did you get the copier working?

EMPLOYEE 4: It needed toner.

She slips by them and goes through a door, but is caught.

EMPLOYEE 5: Security!

Sparks sends Niobe a text message.

SPARKS (Text Message.): You're looking for the main sorting room. It's HUGE.

Niobe continues to weave around the building, looking for the sorting room. She passes by some offices at a sprint, but the employees don't seem that worried.

EMPLOYEE 6: I've never seen her before...

EMPLOYEE 7: Well, they're not in uniform.

EMPLOYEE 8: Who's that walking around?

EMPLOYEE 9: Security!

In the epicenter of the Post Office, Niobe finally finds the back elevator, taking down two guards posted at it. She walks in and hits the "up" button. As the elevator rises, Sparks calls her.

SPARKS (V.O.): Oh no! Don't go up! I think they're expecting you! Cops are everywhere on the second floor!

Niobe tries to stop the elevator, but it's too late.

SPARKS (V.O.): I'm calling your partner for backup.

At the top, Niobe has no choice but to take down a group of officers, who were obviously not expecting her.

OFFICER 1: I thought security had the elevator covered!

OFFICER 2: She's here!

She gets past them, and comes face to face with another group of cops coming at her. They're using a forklift for cover. The cop driving it eventually gets off, but forgets to shut it down. It crashes into a wall, setting off the sprinkler system as Niobe fights them off. Niobe gets past them, and winds up in a corner of the building filled with large crates stacked against the wall. As she looks for where to go next, somone lobs tear gas at her, forcing her to move.

INT. Logos, operating station.

SPARKS: Shit, tear gas.

INT. Post Office.

Coughing, Niobe climbs up a few boxes to the top of a stack and dials Sparks.

NIOBE: (hoarsely) Hard to breathe!

INT. Logos, operating station.

SPARKS: It's really toxic. You gotta stay up high, away from that stuff! The cops are sealing the doors.

INT. Post Office.

SPARKS (V.O.): Ghost is being slowed down, so you're on your own for now.

Niobe spots a glass cieling at the other corner of the room. She jumps off the crates, crosses the room in one leap, and jumps on the glass, shattering it. She leaves through the door, and makes her way to the P.O. Box room, which is just a few seconds away. Unfortunately, when she gets to it, she can't get in, and calls Sparks again.

NIOBE: Sparks, the P.O. Box area is locked up tight. I don't see any way in.

SPARKS (V.O.): Yea, I noticed that.

NIOBE: And you didn't say anything?

INT. Logos operating station.

SPARKS: There's a red conveyor belt that runs above the main sorting area. It's down the hall and to the left of where you are.

NIOBE (V.O.): Okay.

SPARKS: Find a spot where you can get onto the belt and ride it until it takes you over the P.O. Box room.

INT. Post Office.

NIOBE: And no one's supposed to see me when I'm up there?

INT. Logos operating station.

SPARKS: Just act...invisible.

She runs in the direction he indicates, climbing over a metal barrier and turning a corner. At the belt, another group of officers is waiting in ambush, and she takes them out before climbing onto the belt.

When Niobe arrives at the PO Box room, it's empty, the first sign of trouble, since when she snuck by the main door, it was filled with employees sorting mail. As quickly as she can, she runs to the shelves marked 731201-731260 and retrieves the package, which is no larger than a DVD case.

NIOBE: Got it.

INT. Logos Operating station

SPARKS: (slams his hands together) Bang!

INT. Post Office - P.O. Box room.

Outside the room, near the window, several officers are waiting for Niobe.

OFFICER 3: Sir! She's got the package!

OFFICER 4: Move in! Deadly force!

They start to lob gassy grenades through the metal bars of the window, which land on the ground and start to obscure the area. Niobe cartwheels for cover, grabbing one of the canisters when her hands touch the ground and throws it back at the officers through the window as a distraction.

OFFICER 3: Grenade!

While Niobe's aim is perfect, it doesn't have the desired effect since the officers outside are wearing gas masks, protecting them from the toxic fumes. It also costs Niobe precious time. Three units of officers appear as the elevator - the one connecting to the main lobby - opens. Niobe's only consolation is that Ghost appears outside the P.O. Box room wearing a gas mask, and takes out the officers that were throwing the gas canisters at her with a shotgun.

After some fighting, Niobe gets to the elevator.

OFFICER 5: She's got the package! Get her!

OFFICER 6: Keep the suspect away from the elevator!

She does get to it, and descends to the first floor, sprinting for the main doors. The security grating falls just as she gets to them.

SPARKS (Text Message): Take cover! They're shut this place tight!

What ensues is the equivalent of the Matrix's Lobby Scene, complete with marble pillars being shattered into itty little bits. When it's over, Niobe runs into the previously locked service booth and through another door that leads to a stairwell, and the second floor. At the top, Niobe discovers that she's on top of a catwalk in the main sorting area, one she passed earlier. As she crosses it, an explosion rocks the catwalk and detatches a large chunk of the walkway - too much to jump over, even when focusing on defying the Matrix. Smoke begins to fill the area, indicating that there's a fire somewhere. Her phone rings.

NIOBE: What the hell happened here?

INT. Logos operating station.

SPARKS: Ghost created a, uh, distraction for you.

NIOBE (V.O.): A distraction? Is there any part of the building he DIDN'T set on fire?

INT. Post Office - catwalk.

SPARKS (V.O.): That's just what I'm checking now.

NIOBE: The front exit is a no-go. Have I got an exit?

SPARKS (V.O.): Hold on, I'm checking your options. Okay...you're not gonna like it.

NIOBE: Hit me.

SPARKS (V.O.): Find the manager's office. It's near where you jumped out of the conveyor belt.

NIOBE: (Annoyed) On the second floor?

SPARKS (V.O.): That's the 'you're not gonna like it' part. Just call me when you get there.

He hangs up. Niobe descends the catwalk stairs to the first floor and runs through the flaming wreckage of the sorting room, dodging more guards, policemen, and terrified employees. She gets to another stairwell and climbs it to the second floor. It leads to another office space filled with cubicles. On her left is a door with a clock above it. She runs for it and gets inside. It is the manager's office, and she calls Sparks.

SPARKS (V.O.): Okay, listen - I've got it. Just working on the timing. You gotta put your back to the city map. It's across the room from the big window.

Niobe does so, crouching down to a squat so that she has some form of cover.

SPARKS (V.O.): Good, hang on...I'll be with you in just a sec. Here we go...Now, when I say 'go', I want you to run for that big window in front of you and jump through it. Relax, this'll be fine...I think. Ready...GO!

Niobe runs for the window, jumps onto a table, and dives through it, just as more officers burst through the office door, shooting at her. The glass shatters, and Niobe falls, landing on a white truck that just happened to be passing by. She flips off it and lands on the ground, pausing only to look back up at the officers.

OFFICER 7: We lost her! She made it down the west wing! Get over here quick!

Ghost drives over to Niobe, opening the driver's seat door. Sirens start to blare behind them.

NIOBE: Let's get going. I think those sirens are for us.

Ghost switches places with Niobe and slides into the passenger seat as she takes control of the wheel and speeds off.

Continue - Follow Ghost

EXT. City Streets (Matrix) Niobe and Ghost drive up to the base of the post office, a small skyscraper with tons of windows. There are only minutes left until it closes.

NIOBE: Your call. Inside or out?

GHOST: I'll get the package.

He takes a key from Niobe's hands and gets out of the car.

NIOBE: Keep in touch.

She speeds away, and Ghost walks towards the Post Office, which is looming before him.

INT. Post Office - Lobby. Ghost made it, but just as the building is closing for the day!

WOMAN ON INTERCOM: Thank you for visiting the Post Office. We are now closing. We are open 7 A.M. to 5:30 P.M., Monday through Saturday. Please exit through the main doors in the central lobby.

Ghost goes to the right side of the lobby and enters a P.O. box room located there. He scans the room quickly and uses his phone to call Sparks.

GHOST: Someone has been through the mailboxes already. Are we too late?

SPARKS (V.O.): No, they've been turning the place upside down. Thing is, I don't think they know what they're looking for.

GHOST: How am I supposed to find it?

SPARKS (V.O.): Box 731222 is located one floor up.

GHOST: On my way. Stand by.

He hangs up and returns to the lobby, and the staff starts to try and kick him out.

EMPLOYEE 1: We'e closed. You're gonna have to leave now.

Ghost ignores the employee and heads for the elevator. Naturally, it is not working, so he calls up Sparks again for help.

GHOST: Sparks, the elevator's out of action.

SPARKS (V.O.): Okay...found a blueprint.

GHOST: Give it to me.

SPARKS (V.O.): Aw, it looks like the elevator would've taken you right to our P.O. box on the second floor...

INT. Logos operating station.

SPARKS (cont.): Here we are....(he claps) head to the freight elevator in the back of the sorting area.

INT. Post Office - Lobby.

SPARKS (V.O., cont.): And, uh...

GHOST: And what?

INT. Logos operating station.

SPARKS: And hope it's operating?

INT. Post Office.

Guards start to arrive to deal with Ghost (who promptly kicks their asses), and he makes his way into the 'staff only' area down the hall. He is immediately noticed by other staff members who have yet to realize that he's not just a lost client.

EMPLOYEE 2: You're not supposed to be here!

He continues to wander through the staff area, unable to find a way into the sorting area. Sparks eventually intervenes with a solution.

SPARKS (Text Message): I found a way inside - try the security door behind the clerk's desk.

Ghost locates it and follows the stairwell to the second floor. After cutting through another hallway, he goes down a metal catwalk back to the first floor, avoiding the wall blocking his way into the sorting area. He climbs over a chain-link fence and goes through the sorting area, locating the freight elevator and dispatching the two guards posted at it. He then ascends to the second floor. As the elevator rises, Sparks calls him.

SPARKS (V.O.): Oh no! Don't go up! I think they're expecting you! Cops are everywhere on the second floor!

Ghost tries to stop the elevator, but it's too late.

SPARKS (V.O.): I'm calling your partner for backup.

At the top, Ghost has no choice but to take down a group of officers, who were obviously not expecting her.

OFFICER 1: I thought security had the elevator covered!

OFFICER 2: Suspect by the elevator!

He gets past them, and comes face to face with another group of cops coming at him from all directions. They're using a forklift for cover. The cop driving it eventually gets off, but forgets to shut it down. It crashes into a wall, setting off the sprinkler system as Ghost fights them off.

OFFICER 3: Clear out!

OFFICER 4: Someone call Metro Fire!

Ghost gets past them, and winds up in a corner of the building filled with large crates stacked against the wall. As he looks for where to go next, somone lobs teargas at him, forcing him to move.

INT. Logos Operating Station.

SPARKS: Shit, tear gas.

INT. Post Office.

Ghost climbs to the top of the stacks of crates to get above the gas, and calls Sparks, breathless.

INT. Logos Operating Station.

SPARKS: Stay above the gas! The cops are sealing the doors!

INT. Post Office.

GHOST: Where's Niobe?

SPARKS (V.O.): She's trying to find a way into the building. You're flying solo. Stay. Above. The. Gas. And try to find a way out of there!

Ghost spots a glass cieling at the other corner of the room. He jumps off the crates, crosses the room in one leap, and jumps on the glass, shattering it. He leaves through the door, and makes his way to the P.O. Box room, which is just a few seconds away. Unfortunately, when he gets to it, he can't get in. Inside it, employees are searching diligently through large quantities of envelopes, trying to find what the rebels want. With no other choice, Ghost calls Sparks again.

INT. Logos Operating Station. (scene shifts back and forth between the Post Office and the Logos with each character)

SPARKS: Operator.

GHOST: Any ideas here Sparks?

SPARKS: Well, this place has had so many renovations it's hard to follow the blueprints. It looks like it was once a jail or bank or something...

GHOST: (cuts him off) I need some guidance.

SPARKS: Well, there should be a Control Room located very close by. Find it, call me back when you get there.

Ghost runs down the hall to his left, climbs over the chain-link fence, and runs into another area full of boxes stacked on shelves. Police Officers are everywhere.

OFFICER 5: He's by the P.O. Box room!

OFFICER 6: We can take him now!

They can't.

OFFICER 7: Clear out!

At the end of the area is a partially open garage-like door that Ghost ducks under, making for the office door at the back of the garage. It leads to an area full of cubicles partitioned by glass and solid partitions, and a few doors. One of them leads to what appears to be a control room of some sort, its left side occupied by a window overlooking the floors below and a large panel of controls. To the right is another door and a set of switches resembling circuit breakers. Ghost sneaks past the two employees, who are gossiping.

EMPLOYEE 3: Domestic mail is running late.

EMPLOYEE 4: Has the priority team caught up yet?

EMPLOYEE 3: I hear both teams are running behind.

EMPLOYEE 4 : Let's put more people on it.

Ghost pushes a button on the right-hand wall and sneaks out the other door, returning to a service stairwell, which leads back to the metal catwalk/staircase, which Ghost descends. He enters a previously locked door underneath the stairs. It leads back

Inside, Ghost runs through the room, cuts through the main lobby and uses the now working elevator to get to the second floor. He gets into the now empty P.O. box room and locates the package, which is no bigger than a DVD case.

GHOST: Got it.

INT. Logos.

SPARKS: He's got it! (claps)

INT. Post Office, just outside the P.O. box room.

OFFICER 8: He's got it! He's got it!

OFFICER 9: Move in! Deadly force!

They throw poisonous gas into the P.O. box room. Ghost cartwheels from pillar to pillar, grabbing the nearest can of gas and launching it back out through a window. Niobe then arrives wearing a gas mask and kills the officers outside the room that were shooting the gas at Ghost. More units arrive through the elevator.

OFFICER 10: He's got the package! Get him!

OFFICER 11: Keep the suspect away from the elevator!

Ghost takes out everyone in his path and takes the elevator back to the Lobby, where he runs for the main doors. Before he can get out, the metal security doors drop down and lock, trapping him. Officers ambush him.

SPARKS (Text Message): Take cover! They've shut this place down tight!

What ensues is the equivalent of the Matrix's Lobby Scene, complete with marble pillars being shattered into itty little bits. When it's over, Ghost runs into the previously locked service booth and through another door that leads to a stairwell, and the second floor. At the top, he discovers that he's on top of the catwalk in the main sorting area (again). As he crosses it, an explosion rocks the catwalk and detatches a large chunk of the walkway - too much to jump over, even when focusing on defying the Matrix. Smoke begins to fill the area, indicating that there's a fire somewhere. His phone rings.

GHOST: What. The hell. Happened?

INT. Logos.

SPARKS: Niobe created a distraction for you.

GHOST (V.O.): A distraction? Did it do anything other than ruin my roof escape?

SPARKS: Huh? Oh yea. Hold on.

INT. Post Office.

SPARKS (V.O., cont.): I think I've got something. What you need to do is find the manager's office. It's near the elevator control room you were just in. It could be a way out.

GHOST: (annoyed) From the second floor?

INT. Logos.

SPARKS: Sorry, that's the best I've got. You can make it.

INT. Post Office.

SPARKS (V.O., cont.): Just call me when you get there.

He hangs up. Ghost descends the catwalk stairs to the first floor and runs through the flaming wreckage of the sorting room, dodging more guards, policemen, and terrified employees. He gets to another stairwell and climbs it to the second floor. It leads to another office space filled with cubicles. On his left is a door with a clock above it. He runs for it and gets inside. It is the manager's office, and he calls Sparks.

SPARKS (V.O.): Yea, yea, I'm on it. Got a plan. Just let me work the timing.

Outside the building, police officers are rushing in towards the office, taking position there.

SPARKS (V.O., cont.): Okay, put your back to the city map. It's opposite the big window.

Ghost does so.

SPARKS (V.O., cont.): Good. Now, hang tight for a minute. Here we go...now, when I say go, I want you to run for that big window in front of you and jump through it. Yea...this'll work. Three...

GHOST: Okay, okay, let me focus...

SPARKS (V.O., cont.): Two, one, GO!

At the exact moment that Ghost starts to run for the window, cops burst in through the door into the office and start shooting at him. He dodges the bullets, leaps off a desk, and crashes through the window just in time to land on a passing truck. He wasn't fully prepared, so he rolls ungracefully off the back of it and lands in a heap on the ground.

OFFICER 12: We got him! He's down off the west wing!

Niobe drives up to Ghost and opens the passenger side door, dragging Ghost into the car. Sirens start wailing in the distance.

GHOST: I...uh...oh man...

NIOBE: Let's get going. I think those sirens are for us.

Continue - Follow Niobe

EXT. City Streets (Matrix).

The Firebird blazes through the streets of the city at breakneck speeds, swerving past slower vehicles. Sparks gives them directions via their cell phones.

SPARKS (V.O.): Take a left at the next street.

Niobe swerves, making the street just in time. Sirens start to become audible behind her.

SPARKS (V.O.): They're right behind you!

While Ghost sticks his torso out the passenger window and shoots at the officers (or oncoming cars that would provide nice flaming obstacles for the police cars to get past), Niobe continues to speed along, following Spark's directions.

SPARKS (V.O.): Bear right!

Niobe swerves and catches the turn just in time, almost passing it by.

SPARKS (V.O.): You're almost there.

The car continues on, heading towards a bridge with a gate in front of it. Sparks warns them to not go any closer as they approach it.

SPARKS (V.O.): They're waiting in ambush just ahead. Get out of there!

For two minutes, Niobe drives around the city, in order to buy time until the blockade ends. She eventually turns around and makes a beeline for the bridge.

SPARKS (V.O.): The blockade's cleared! Get through!

Their car speeds through the now open gates, and across the bridge into another section of the city.

EXT. Alleyway (Matrix)1.

The Firebird turns sharply into a tiny alleyway, one that is barely wide enough for the whole car. Several police units trail behind, sirens wailing. The alleyway starts to narrow even further, and Niobe starts to drive with her wheels on the walls. Then, the car strikes a dumpster, and comes to a crashing stop. Ghost flies out of the front windshield due to the impact and lands several meters from the ground. Niobe scrambles out of the car wreck and rushes over to Ghost while dialing her cell phone. As she talks, she helps Ghost to his feet.

NIOBE: Sparks! The exit! Tell me it's close!

SPARKS (V.O.): It's close! The fire escape on your left! Hurry!

Policemen finally arrive in their vehicles. They get out and start to shoot.

SPARKS (V.O.): There's a maintenance phone on the roof. It's behind the roof access door!

GHOST: Thanks Sparks. It couldn't have been on a ground floor?

They climb a nearby fire escape ladder, shooting back at the policemen. Back at the entrance of the alleyway, an unmarked black car comes to a casual stop, and an Agent exits it, looking over at the firefight. Meanwhile, Niobe and Ghost are still trying to get to the exit.

GHOST: Go! Find the door! I got your back!

Niobe runs along the roof, jumping down twice to a lower level, and eventually reaches another ladder. At the top is the door to the phone that Sparks had told them about. She runs to it, waving to Ghost.

NIOBE: It's here! I've found the exit!

As she opens the door, the Agent that had been below pushes it from the other side. The force shoves Niobe onto her back. As the Agent raises his gun to fire at her, Ghost provides some cover fire, giving Niobe an oppertunity to escape while the Agent is busy dodging bullets.

The scene winds up being very similar to the Trinity Infinity chase scene at the beginning of the Matrix, right down to the triangle-shaped rooftops that Niobe runs over. Eventually, she does a U-turn and rushes back to the exit, kicks the door open, stumbles down some stairs to the phone, and jacks out.
